Rozita Hassan
Café owner, Petaling Jaya
"I went in thinking I needed help with marketing. After the first session, it became clear the real problem was how I was managing my cashflow month to month. The written summary was clear and the steps were things I could actually do — not a list of recommendations that would need another consultant to implement."

IT services provider, Subang Jaya
"The Homestead Partnership was more than I expected. I appreciated that each monthly session was properly prepared — it wasn't just a catch-up call. We covered different parts of the business each time and by the third month I had a much steadier grip on where things stood. Good value for the length of the engagement."

Skincare retailer, Shah Alam
"I'd been running my business for six years and never had anyone sit down properly and look at the overall picture with me. The Foundations & Shelter session was one session but a genuinely useful one. The follow-up document gave me three things to act on and I've done all three. Small business owners don't often get this kind of considered attention."

Wong Fui Kian
Print shop owner, Kepong
"What I appreciated was that they didn't pretend to have all the answers immediately. In the first session they mostly listened and asked questions. By the end of the five weeks I had a clear written summary that I've since shared with my accountant. The review helped me see some structural issues I'd been half-aware of but hadn't properly examined."

Siti Aisyah Ismail
Accounting practice, KL Sentral
"I came to Melur after a difficult year in which I'd expanded too fast and needed to think carefully about the structure going forward. The Homestead Partnership gave me space to work through decisions month by month rather than all at once. That pacing turned out to be exactly what I needed. I wouldn't have managed as well without it."

Azlan Aziz
Electrical contractor, Cheras
"My business had good revenue but I was always short of cash at the end of the month and didn't understand why. The review identified two specific places where money was leaking out in ways I hadn't noticed. Simple things, in hindsight — but I'd been too close to see them. Worth every ringgit."

The challenge
The café was profitable on paper but the owner consistently found herself unable to cover supplier payments at the end of the month. Staff costs had risen, pricing hadn't changed in two years, and she had no clear view of which products were actually contributing margin.
What we did
Over five weeks we reviewed pricing across the menu, mapped cashflow timing, and identified a supplier payment schedule that was misaligned with income. Two sessions were spent working through the findings together and testing the owner's assumptions about what the numbers meant.
The outcome
Pricing was adjusted on six items. One supplier agreement was renegotiated to better match income timing. Within three months, the end-of-month cash position improved. The owner described the clarity she'd gained as more valuable than the specific changes she made.
"I finally understand my own business numbers. That's not something I expected to feel after five weeks."

The challenge
A small accounting practice had added two staff members and a second office in the same year. Revenue had grown but the owner's working hours had too, and she wasn't sure the expansion had actually made things better. The structure felt unstable.
What we did
Monthly sessions addressed different parts of the business in sequence — first the financial picture, then the staff structure, then the client portfolio. By the fourth month we were focused on planning: what a steadier version of the business looked like at 18 months.
The outcome
The second office was consolidated at the end of the lease. One staff role was redefined. The owner's billable hours reduced while revenue held. She described the six months as the first time she'd felt ahead of the business rather than behind it.
"Having a monthly session made me think more carefully between sessions too. It raised the quality of my own thinking about the business."
